Ann Abbe has 26 years of professional fundraising experience, primarily in higher education.  Ms. Abbe brings a broad range of expertise to her work, having served as vice president for development for The University of Texas at Arlington, director of development for the Dallas Public Television/Radio station and as director of development at the University of North Texas Health Science Center. As a consultant, she trains and educates nonprofit boards and staff, and conducts seminars around the country in several areas, including volunteer board leadership and effectiveness, strategic planning and goal setting, and effective proposal writing. Other areas of expertise include feasibility studies, case statements, and raising funds from women and minorities. Ms. Abbe serves on several boards including the Women of Texas A & M, and is past chair of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) District IV Board of Directors. Skilled in written and oral communication, Ms. Abbe has authored numerous articles on women and philanthropy and minorities and philanthropy.
