Barbara Hammerman is acknowledged for her creativity and imagination in guiding nonprofits through strategic planning and implementing comprehensive development programs. Ms. Hammerman brings to Skystone Ryan 25 years of both staff and consulting experience in financial resource development, and is noted for assisting organizations to integrate planned giving and endowment with annual and capital fundraising efforts. Her many contributions to the planned giving field include service on the Charitable Accord charter board, the National Committee on Planned Giving government affairs committee, past president of the Orange County Planned Giving Roundtable and founding editor of THE CATALYST, a planned giving newsletter. Ms. Hammerman is a sought after speaker and co-author of the book Endowments Right from the Start. Her volunteer commitments include founder of The Luther Allison Endowment Fund, and board member of the Shakespeare Guild, Int. and The Blues Foundation. She is alumnus of Northwestern State University in her native Louisiana where she received a Bachelors degree in Communication prior to receiving a law degree from Western State University College of Law in California.
