Hedy Helsell has over 25 years experience in building capacity among nonprofit organizations. As President of the Center for Nonprofit Management for 18 years, she led an agency that provides management and leadership training, consultation, information resources, low-interest loans, technology and collaboration services to over 1,200 nonprofits annually. As a consultant, she provides fund development, strategy and organizational development guidance. A recognized leader in her field, Ms. Helsell has served as President of the Nonprofit Management Association and on the founding board of the Alliance for Nonprofit Management. Ms. Helsell received the Distinguished Service Award from the Association of Fund Raising Professionals Dallas Chapter. A graduate of Mundelein College in Chicago where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Ms. Helsell received her Master’s degree from Drake University in Counseling.
