Lorraine Holmes-Settles has more than twenty years experience in fundraising and organizational development including five years as President of The Resource Network. She has directed services to local and national nonprofit organizations including annual fund campaigns, Board development, special event fundraising and corporate giving programs. She most recently founded The AFRAM Group, an affiliated firm of Skystone Ryan. Earlier in her career Ms. Holmes-Settles served as director of development for the national office of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, with responsibilities for the annual fund and conference scholarship program. She previously served as Director of Communications and Development for International Voluntary Services, Inc. An active member of AFP, and is past chair of the Washington D.C. chapter and a Board member of the AFP Foundation National Board of Directors, she is also a member of the Association of Fund Raising Officers, Inc. (AFRO, Inc.) and serves as a consultant to the National Center for Black Philanthropy. Ms. Holmes-Settles received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Delaware, a Master of Arts in Organizational Communication doctoral coursework in the same area from Howard University. She is also a Certified Fund Raising Executive and a certified management trainer from the Management Centre in Brussels, Belgium.
