For over 35 years Bob Thompson has assisted leading nonprofits throughout the country to plan and carry out major fundraising and development programs. During this time he has served as counsel to more than 200 schools, colleges, universities, medical institutions, churches and church-related organizations, national and international groups, and other nonprofit organizations throughout North America and in the United Kingdom. Mr. Thompson is a former senior partner and chairman of the Pittsburgh-based national consulting firm of Ketchum, Inc., and recently retired as the President of LIFEndowment, Inc., a planned giving company, which he helped develop in 1985. He has served on the national Boards of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy. Mr. Thompson is also a past chair of the American Association of Fundraising Counsel (AAFRC). He now serves as senior counsel to nonprofits conducting capital campaigns and planned giving programs.
